MUSEUMS
Archdiocesan Museum of Religious Art

In preserving an artistic and religious heritage, the Museum of Religious Art serves as the guardian of a solemn history. Each of the works that rest there keep iconographic riches that represent the clergy, the ways of life of the friars who exalted the culture of Pamplona, such as Father Rochereau, the artists who filled their works with spirituality and who served as educators in the new way of life of the inhabitants.
Consequently, the building has a clearly modern style, formal simplicity and functional clarity to fulfill its purpose of housing the works of renowned painters of the colonial period as Acero de la Cruz, Alfonso Hernández de Heredia, painter from Pamplona and among other artistic works we can find the greatest exponent of colonial painting Gregorio Vázquez de Arce y Ceballos.
